Alaska Horse Ranch offers several boarding options to meet your individual needs in the Mat-Su Valley. Full-Care Boarding offers owners virtually hassle-free maintenance. We also offer Pasture, Paddock, and Retirement boarding options to meet any budget.  All our options include access to the amenities available at Alaska Horse Ranch.

Full-Care Horse Boarding

Full-Care Horse Boarding offers a more inclusive option for those who are not able to take care of their horses each day. The experienced and friendly staff at Alaska Horse Ranch will supply your horse with the basic care and daily necessities that they need. For an additional fee, Alaska Horse Ranch can also provided additional services (see other services section at bottom of page).

Full-Care Boarding Fee: $700 per month

Full-Care Horse Boarding Includes:

  • 12 x 12 stall with stall mats
  • 12 x 36 attached pipe corrals
  • Heated automatic waterer
  • Local hay (timothy/brome)
  • Feeding grain/supplements 2x a day per owner’s instructions (provided by owner)
  • Daily stall cleaning

Pasture and Paddock Horse Boarding

Pasture, Paddock, and Retirement Boarding options offer owners a more economical approach to boarding. Alaska Horse Ranch provides your horse(s) with the option of Pasture Board, where you horse is turned out with the Ranch herd on over 40 acres.  Paddock Board, which gives your horse a run-in shelter and attached pipe corral, hay, and access to all of our many amenities. And we also offer Retirement Board options, which gives your horse the availability of turn out with our senior horses.  Contact us for more information, and see below for a list of amenities.

Paddock Horse Boarding, $450/month


  • Run-in shelter
  • Attached pipe corral
  • Hay and water
  • Daytime turnout
  • Access to all the amenities of our Equestrian Center

Pasture Horse Boarding, $300/month


  • Turn out on over 40 acres with the Ranch herd (about 20 head)
  • Access to shelters
  • Heated water trough
  • Free choice hay (fed as rounds)
  • Access to all the amenities of our Equestrian Center

Boarding Additional Services

For an additional fee, Alaska Horse Ranch can offer any of the following additional services to boarding customers. These services can be added to any boarding plan or on an “as needed” basis. Please note that these services are on a case-by-case basis only. If any additional training is required to perform these services safely, then a training fee will apply.

Additional Services Include:

  • Lessons – horsemanship, western, dressage, jumping, and more
  • Training and Exercising – under saddle, in hand, lunging, driving and round penning.
  • Additional grain feedings
  • Hot walker turnout
  • Blanketing or sheeting
  • Bathing
  • Grooming
  • Show grooming (including braiding and banding)
  • Clipping
  • Worming
  • Catching and holding for veterinarian or farrier
  • Fly spray application
  • Putting on fly sheet, mask, or boots
